According to Moroccan media, the decision is « official »: from next January, the company Royal Air Maroc will serve Israel via regular direct flights.
Things are accelerating between Morocco and Israel. Less than 20 days after the announcement of the normalization of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the establishment of direct commercial flights is confirmed.
According to Moroccan media Le 360, the Royal Air Maroc (RAM) will serve Israel via direct commercial flights from January 16. RAM provides four frequencies per week between Casablanca and Tel Aviv.
The direct flight, which will last 5.30 hours, the same source said, will be operated by Boeing Dreamliner, a plane with a capacity of 274 seats. Royal Air Maroc has five Dreamliner in its fleet. The price of the return ticket for a flight Casablanca – Tel Aviv should be around 400 euros, according to the same source.

Flights Israel – Morocco: interested Israeli companies
For their part, three Israeli companies, El Al, Israir and Arkia, have announced their intention to operate regular direct commercial flights with Morocco. The Israir company has indicated that it wants to make 20 weekly flights with Morocco. Its CEO said it would be possible to open hotlines within 3 months. But in view of the announcement made on the Moroccan side, this deadline should be shortened.
Behind this race to open direct lines between Israel and Morocco lie economic issues, especially for Morocco and its tourism sector. The Moroccans are counting on the arrival of 200,000 Israeli tourists as early as next year.
Currently, 70,000 Israeli tourists visit Morocco each year, where they travel via stop-over flights. Moroccan tourism organizations and local tour operators intend to quickly launch promotional campaigns in Israel.
