Etihad Airways has deployed a new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in a livery in honor of Manchester City football club. His first destination was, of course, the English airport.
Officially delivered on October 18, 2019, the new Dreamliner of the UAE national airline is all dressed in blue – in the Manchester City colors it sponsors. The aircraft went into service Monday at Manchester Airport, where it was hosted by a special ceremony. This is the first Etihad Airways special livery dedicated to the club since 2011 and the « Blue Moon Rising » affixed to an Airbus A330-200, unveiled during the establishment of a second daily flight to the city…

In the coming months, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner « Manchester City » should also rotate to Manchester, Jordan, Spain, Indonesia, and China. Etihad Airways has put into service 30 of the 42 787-9 expected, configured in two or three classes; it also operates 6 of the 30 787-10 ordered.
