The low-cost airline Flydubai will launch a new route between Dubai and Tel Aviv at the end of the month, becoming the third carrier to benefit from the new air agreement signed between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
From November 26, 2020, the Emirati cheap flight specialist will offer two daily flights between its base in Dubai and Tel Aviv-Ben Gurion airport, operated by Boeing 737-800 that can accommodate 12 passengers in Business class and 162 in Economy. Departures are scheduled at 9.40 a.m. and 10 p.m. (arrivals at 11:35 a.m. and 11:55 p.m.), return flights leaving Israel at 12:55 a.m. and 12:35 p.m. (arrivals at 6:05 a.m. and 5:15 p.m., average flight time 3:30).
Flydubai will initially be without competition on this route, which will be inaugurated by Arkia on December 9 and then by Israir on December 17 – each offering one flight per day.

The announcement of the low cost follows the air transport agreement that was recently signed by Israel and the UAE, allowing 28 scheduled flights per week between Tel Aviv, Abu Dhabi and Dubai (a total now reached), as well as ‘an unlimited number of charter flights to Eilat.
Flydubai CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith said in a statement: “Since launching flydubai 11 years ago, we have been committed to removing barriers to travel, creating free trade and tourism flows, and improving connectivity between the different cultures of our network. As a result of the recent bilateral agreement, the start of scheduled flights will contribute to economic development and create new investment opportunities in the pursuit of our common interests and values. » He added: “With the start of this service, it will be possible to improve accessibility to the United Arab Emirates as well as to the Indian Ocean, the Far East, and Africa, which will reduce the total duration of the trip. the journey of several hours ”.
Since the airline’s launch in 2009, Flydubai “has been known to connect previously underserved markets”, as well as providing direct connections to Dubai. Its extensive codeshare partnership with Emirates Airlines provides travelers with smoother connections between the Emirates and Flydubai networks to 155 destinations.
