An American Airlines flight from the Piedmont Triad International Airport near Greensboro, North Carolina, slid off the runway Monday morning after landing at O’Hare International Airport in the Chicago snow.
A passenger named Joseph Lian filmed the moment the plane slipped into a field of grass. In the video posted by Andrea Blanford, a reporter for ABC11 in Raleigh, North Carolina, the camera can be seen rolling and appears to slide down the taxiway after going out.

The plane, an Embraer ERJ145, appeared to have landed and slowed down when it seemed to be losing control of its vehicle. In the video, passengers are heard screaming as the plane heads towards the grassy terrain and says « We are sliding ». After the plane stops, another passenger can be heard saying « I think we landed. »
No one was injured and the passengers were taken by bus to the terminal, Blanford said.
American Airlines confirmed that the plane had slipped off the runway due to slippery weather in the winter.
